Back in 2022, we launched our pilot programme, 7 Steps to Sustainability - an initiative designed to reduce packaging waste and cut carbon emissions within our supply chain.
Over the last three years, we’ve continually refined the programme with one clear goal: to remove as much unnecessary glass and waste as possible from the way our spirits are supplied.
So, what is the 7 Steps to Sustainability Programme?In short, we work with a wide range of bars, restaurants and hotels to offer a more sustainable way to enjoy premium spirits - delivering high-quality gin or vodka at a price that doesn’t cost the world.
Traditionally, bars are supplied with standard 70cl bottles, which are used once and then recycled. Through the 7 Steps programme, this process is replaced with a refillable system: one 70cl bottle is paired with a 5-litre Bag-in-Box (BIB) filled with gin or vodka.
The bar is responsible for topping up the bottle as needed, allowing it to be refilled up to 30 times before being recycled. By doing this, we remove 96.7% of glass waste from our supply chain - without compromising on quality or consistency.
