Edinburgh Cocktail Week 2024
We are entering into Edinburgh Cocktail Week 2024 and we're participating in it! But not with Pickering's Gin or The Broody Hen Scotch Whisky... We actually have our own Vodka brand - Coldsnap.
Now the reason you haven't seen or heard of Coldsnap Vodka before is that we only offer this spirit to businesses. This is part of our 7 Steps to Sustainability initiative where we are working to reduce our carbon footprint by over 67% with a closed loop program with Pickering's Gin and Coldsnap Vodka.
Here's how it works:
By utilising this innovative system, we have the capability to significantly decrease our packaging waste by a staggering 98%, while also completely eliminating 3.6kg of carbon emissions per every 5kg drum of spirit we supply.
This results in a remarkable 67% reduction in our overall emissions for this project and an impressive reduction of 1,954 miles in both road and sea transportation for every bottle we don't fill.
This means that when you are out, you can help towards decreasing your own carbon footprint as well as enjoying premium drinks for cheaper - how could it get any better!
So, where does Edinburgh Cocktail Week come into this?
One Square Bar is one of the businesses participating in our 7 Steps to Sustainability initiative and we supply Coldsnap Vodka to them. So, we've partnered up with them to create one of the £5 cocktails for Edinburgh Cocktail Week.
Introducing the Sandia Cosmo.
To add to the sustainability of this cocktail, One Square reuse leftover Watermelon from their breakfast to make the cordial and they grow their own mint, which is used for the sugar syrup and garnish.
