Our award-winning Gin Tours run from Thursday-Sunday. So, come along and see how handcrafted gin is really made! Join us in our hand-built distillery for pure gin pleasure, you can pick from six different gin tours ranging from £10 - £50.
Guided Tasting
This whistle stop tour with Pickering's Gin will give you the highlights of our spirits with a tutored tasting of our core range. Your favourite bottle will be available at the shop!
Included in this tasting is 4 neat samples of Pickering's Gin core range.

Gin Jolly
Starting in our Old Workshop where you can marvel at all of our quirky inventions and learn about the incredible history of Pickering's Gin. Our tour then takes you to our Distillery to see the original Indian recipe written down in 1947 and learn how we make our delicious small batch gins.
Included in this tour is a Pickering's Gin and Tonic on arrival at The Royal Dick Pub, guided tasting of 4 neat samples of our core range gins, and filling your very own 5cl bottle of Pickering's Gin that you'll take home.

Peacocktail Tour
This tour is a great introduction to learn about the surprising origins of gin. Starting off with a tour of our hand-built distillery where you'll learn how we make our small batch gin following our original recipe from Bombay. Moving upstairs to our boardroom you'll learn how gin evolved through the ages while enjoying a delicious cocktail.
Included in this tour is a Pickering's Original 1947 Gin and Tonic, a classic cocktail, 4 neat samples of our gins, and a surprise goodie bag with a 5cl of Pickering's Original Gin.

The Roaring 20's (Gin Cocktails)
Hidden within our Old Workshop and tucked away from the courtyard in the Summerhall, that is where you will find our Speakeasy Experience. Give the secret password on the door and let us transport you back to the Roaring 20's and sink into the golden era of arts, music, and illegal beverages.
Included in this tour is 2 full-strength cocktails.

Cheese & Cocktail Masterclass
Our masterclass is a fabulous sensory journey where you'll be mixing up your very own cocktails whilst learning about their history and origin. Each cocktail is paired with a stunning selection of Scottish cheeses from local cheesemonger I.J. Mellis, acclaimed in Edinburgh for their choice of the finest farmhouse cheeses.
Included in this masterclass is 3 full strength Pickering's Gin cocktails and a selection platter of local cheeses.

Degustation De Gin Et De Whisky En Francais
Venez profiter d'une visite/dégustation exclusive en francais au Summerhall, l'ancienne école vétérinaire de l'Université d'Edimbourg.
Votre guide vous emmènera dans notre celèbre taverne dissimulée derrière notre atelier-musée pour une degustation unique oú vous decouvrirez notre Broody Hen Scotch Blend et Single Malt 10 ans, specialement créé pour le marché Européen et lancé en 2023.
La visite se poursuivra au coeur de notre micro-distillerie située dans les anciens chenils de l'hôpital vétérinaire. Vous verrez comment à partir d'une recette écrite à Bombay en 1947 et deux alambics, nous avons réussi à conquerir le marché du Gin depuis 2013.

Experience the rich history and evolution of whisky, the water of life with Summerhall Distillery. Once produced illegally in the remote corners of the Scottish Highlands, it has now become an emblem of Scottish culture and terroir.
Whisky Tasting & Tales
Join us as we invite you to discover our hidden tavern tucked away in the depths of our Old Workshop. You'll hear captivating tales and legends that surround this famous Scottish spirit. You'll be taken to our Distillery, where we meticulously bottle and label The Broody Hen blended scotch whisky and our exceptional 10-year-old single malt.
Included in this experience is 2 drams of The Broody Hen Scotch Whisky and a whisky cocktail.

Our distillery is located within Summerhall Arts venue, (formerly the Dick Vet School of the University of Edinburgh), in Central Edinburgh on the corner of the Meadows.
Your tour guide will collect you inside at The Royal Dick Pub or in the Reception Hall. Please ask at reception if you are unsure where to go.

Due to health and safety regulations pets are not allowed in the production area or distillery shop. Guide dogs are allowed in the distillery shop only.
