42% ABV.

This exclusive 75th anniversary edition has been created solely for the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo, featuring a new commemorative label, our signature wax dip top, and is limited to just 500 bottles.

Our tartan-clad Pickering’s Gin with Scottish Botanicals is a true celebration of Scotland’s natural landscape.

Distilled with four native botanicals – heather, milk thistle, bog myrtle, and Scots pine – it brings sweet, floral, and gently earthy notes to our classic Bombay recipe. The result? A smooth, complex spirit that’s been turning heads and winning awards since its debut in 2017.

3 incredible Pickering's Gin expressions

July 2014

Pickering's Navy Strength Gin

Our journey with the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo started in 2014, when we became the official gin sponsor. Adorned with a bearskin hat, our Navy Strength Gin was the perfect nod to the event.

July 2015

Pickering's Original 1947 Gin

In 2015, the theme of the Tattoo was 'East Meets West', which perfectly encompassed our Pickering's Original 1947 Gin with a combination of flavours from the east and west.

August 2017

Pickering's Gin with Scottish Botanicals

2017's theme was 'A Splash of Tartan', so we created our first gin with Scottish botanicals wrapped in the official tartan of the Tattoo. Also available in Gin & Tonic cans.

August 2025

75th Anniversary Gin

To celebrate the 75th Anniversary of the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo, we created 500 bottles of our beloved Scottish Botanical Gin, but with a commemorative label and wax top.

Tasting Notes

Delicately floral with a bold punch of zesty lemon citrus. Bright pine notes flood the nose, followed by earthy heather that grounds the vibrant juniper. A hint of sweetness emerges, leading to a beautifully smooth, refined finish.

Scottish Botanical Mix

Our tartan-clad Pickering's Gin with Scottish Botanicals is distilled with four indigenous Scottish botanicals- heather, milk thistle, bog myrtle and Scots Pine which lend sweet, earthy and floral notes to our Bombay recipe, for a smooth and stirring spirit.

Hand-Crafted

Each and every bottle of this truly Scottish gin has been hand distilled, filled, corked and labelled in our one of a kind 400 sq. ft. distillery built in the ruins of the old Edinburgh vet school’s kennels.

The Official Gin of the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo

This complex Gin has been wowing crowds and collecting medals since it was released back in 2017 as The Official Gin of the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo. We re-released it in 2020 in a larger bottle size and with more environmentally sensitive label design.

True to form, it bears the official Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo tartan which celebrates the entwined colours of the Armed Forces- The Army, Navy and the RAF.
