A Decade of Partnering with The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo

This will be our 10th year being the official gin for The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo.

The team got to enjoy the preview night of their 74th show titled Journeys. Not only was it amazing to see our Pickering's Gin and Tonic Cans in the stands but it was the first year we had our own Pickering's Gin trunks on the esplanade. 

For anyone new to Summerhall Distillery, let's recap the last decade of our partnership with The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo.

Dating back to 2014, the year Pickering's Gin was launched, we formed our inaugural partnership with The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo. They sought their first official gin, leading to the creation of Pickering's Navy Strength Gin. Adorned with a traditional bearskin hat and a commemorative neck tag, it was the perfect fit.

In 2015, Pickering's Original 1947 Gin was honoured as the official gin of the Tattoo. Reflecting the theme 'Where East Meets West,' our 1947 gin harmoniously blends flavours from both regions, perfectly complementing the spirit of the event.

The theme for 2017 was ‘A Splash of Tartan,’ inspiring us to create Pickering’s Gin with Scottish Botanicals. To celebrate our first-ever Scottish gin, it was wrapped in the official red, green, and blue tartan of the Tattoo.

Which brings us to present day where we transformed our Pickering's Gin with Scottish Botanicals into can form, to enjoy during the show.
